Cesare Pavese (1908 – 1950), poet, prose writer, critic and translator, considered one of the greatest Italian writers. He has written over ten books: novels, poems, diaries, criticism, essays etc.
World fame he sealed with the poetry “The death will come and will have your eyes”, which wrote shortly before he committed suicide because of a failed relationship with an American model and actress.
